So the first day of any travel blog is usually the heavy traveling day, so there’s not much to say other than the red-eye flight going to the UK is rough. 10 hrs isn’t bad, but the lack of good in-flight movies sucks. Les watched Grown Ups, and judging from my sidling view of the movie, it wasn’t going to win any Oscars this year. I watched Predators, and the only thing missing was Arnold saying, “Get to the choppa!” But yeah, it sucked too.
Side Note:
So I think to make every trip interesting somehow, I usually do a side quest alongside the actual touristy stuff. Last year, I was on a quest to find all of the landmarks from the Da Vinci Code and Angels & Demons. In Japan, I was on a toy quest. This time, I’m thinking of making a “music video”, so to speak, of our trip. Nothing big really, just clips of stuff where we’ll be and tuned with some song. Not sure how it’ll turn up, but I got the inspiration when I saw another one online the other day. Might be something fun to do while we’re out and about, at least!
